Four Lime Kilns, Four Sugar Factories, One Month

In May this year, TEPLOTECHNA DIS successfully carried out repairs on four single-shaft lime kilns across four different sugar factories. Our scope of work included:

• Protective gunning application of refractory concrete
• Local repairs through relining with fireclay and magnesite bricks
• Replacement of insulating bricks where needed

Why is a lime kiln essential in a sugar factory?
Lime kilns produce quicklime (CaO), which is a key component in purifying raw juice extracted from sugar beets. The lime binds with impurities during the clarification process, enabling their removal and ensuring a cleaner intermediate product for further processing.
Thanks to our extensive experience in high-temperature refractory linings, we ensured these kilns are once again ready for the upcoming processing season.
